The top display of my new nintendo 3ds xl is broken, and i cant find a replacement anywhere, also in my country nintendo doesnt have real presence so i can not send it to them for repair, so i need a replacement screen to do it by myself
You can’t find them at a regular store like Walmart or GameStop because that would be considered buying a “third party” item. If it’s broken you’d could order it from E-bay, Ifixit.com or send it in for a repair.
I was looking for the same thing. There is one thing you might want to consider. The NEW Nintendo 3DS XL (2015) has a slightly different screen than ones found on the original Nintendo 3DS XL. It uses IPS which allows for superior viewing angles. When you move your head from side to side to engage the face tracking 3D this helps with color reproduction. I could not find any screens that were positively for the NEW 3DS XL. Could you tell me how broken the screen is? P.S Try checking amazon periodically, they have screens but they may not be the same ones.
I have the same issue so i have the theory that we can use a regular 3ds xl upper screen but i dont know if thats true. The two parts look very similar and are of the same size but i dont know if anybody has tried this. If you try or have tried this please let me know the results.
The only place I’ve been able to find a replacement is getting one on eBay that was pulled from another New (2015) 3DS XL. They are pricy, $50 used :(
