Greetings, Does anyone know if there is a tool to remove and replace MacBook key carriers? It is extremely difficult to do with fingers and to not break them. I need to clean under them. If there is no tool, is there a detailed method for doing so? Thanks
There is a tool from Apple … an angled plastic tool with appropriately size VHB adhesive & technique to do so, however, getting the keycap from the adhesive, in one piece, is tricky. The ‘butterfly’ mechanism it self, if damaged, is not replaceable - AFAIK.
