Hallo all! I got in my hands a broken screen Fishfinder. The LCD screen was damaged from the cracking but luckily I have found a new one. I have already removed the old LCD, got a new glass and cleaned the frontal plastic so I am ready to install the new one. The problem is I don’t know if I should use LOCA again. The device-as I am trying to show in the following photos-had a thick layer ( like 3mm) of a gel like super sticky OCA glue on the screen and a fair amount of gasket glue (I suppose?). Also there were some foam tape parts from factory - I cannot understand what usage they had. I definitely your advice. Should I use LOCA? The glass is pretty heavy as its 3mm thick and 9 inch, so maybe need the extra hold from LOCA is vital. About the gasket glue, I think 3M 4799 will be what I need, but I am not sure. If you think I must use LOCA please give me some hints because I am not sure what this gel type glue installed from factory actually was.

Please give me your help guys!

yes that is loca, you dont really need to use loca again thats just the way the lcd and glass panel was produced in the factory, as for adhesive you could probably use tesa double sided tape but the 3m will do the job
