The plastic collar that holds the ball and socket joint together ripped and now it wont stay together Do I just replace tie rod?
Yup, Just had to do this with my John Deere.
My quick fix for this is to get a 1/2” copper tube coupling and split it length wise with a hacksaw. Tap the tie rod back together. Using the split coupling tap that over the tie rod and your good to go.
