I just upgraded the HDD with a 1TB SSD and the RAM to 32GB. Did everything according to the ifixit guide and now the 2 USB-C (TB) ports don’t work. Tried re-installing the OS on the SSD, tried the old HDD still the ports don’t work. Tried to align them more properly like other people say but to no avail. Everything else works just fine. Any suggestions?

Just a thought. I noticed you didn’t mention reverting back to your previous memory upgrade levels. Have you tried that?
I just installed 32 gigs of ram and 1 tb ssd in my imac and have the same issue. Worked before installation and now not working. Any more updates on this? I am going to take it back to my tech guys, but it seems weird that the same thing would happen. How much ram did you put in? What type of ram?
