Recently three line appeared on my phone screen for what seems like no reason. One is a thin line that changes colors depending on the background there is another one just like it on the right of the screen And lastly there is a border-like light Orange like that covers some of my screen I did crack the screen and dropped my phone in water but those happened in 2016 and the lines appeared today. This phone holds my life i’d hate to loose it
Hi @theater_child , I suggest that you back up the phone to a computer or the cloud and write down your Google account information, passwords etc, before the phone gets any worse and you can’t use it before you can fix it. It appears as though the screen may be failing and needs to be replaced. Also if the phone wasn’t cleaned properly after the immersion in water, i.e. phone opened and all traces of water and corrosion removed with Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+, it may be that the effects of the water and corrosion are finally making themselves known. Here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the screen in the phone. Once the phone is open you can check the systemboard for any evidence of water damage as well. Search online for LG (insert model number of phone) LCD screen to find suppliers of the part.
