Surface Book needed a battery replaced I had to find it on third party site. I need to purchase the adhesive that is use to hold the back plate in place. Where do I get it and what do I need?
Honestly, your best bet would be purchasing adhesive rolls. Parts such as, bezels, adhesive, antennas, etc, can be difficult to find without buying another to salvage that part off from. So here are some adhesive strips I like to purchase: Bigger version: https://www.fixez.com/categories/repair-… Smaller version: https://www.fixez.com/categories/repair-… In my opinion, its good to get both because the bigger version can cover more surface area, and the smaller version can get into more precise areas.
I use 2-sided carpet tape. It’s amazingly strong and you can get it at any hardware store. Just cut strips with a sharp pair of scissors and apply to on, then remove the backing and press your unit back together. e side
