My dell inspiron 3421notebook does’nt bootup if battery is there, a massege showing “this battery charging is temporary dissabled” press f2 for enter bios. when i try bios setup nothing happend, if i remove battery and plug charger it boots up fine, and windows says battery not installed, i tried replacing a battery but same error. please help me ride out this case.
@oldturkey03 posted this suggestion a while ago for the same problem on a different Dell: ‘‘I would start by checking the bios, start the system tapping F2 to enter the bios, you can also tap F12 and choose bios from the menu. Once in the bios look for the option for AC adapter warnings, if they are disabled enable them and save changes. If there is a problem with the adapter you should start getting errors about the adapter. If the Adapter seems alright, disconnect the battery from the system and power down the notebook. Wait an hour or so and then replace the battery and restart the system and see if you continue to get the message. If you can run the notebook on battery only allow the battery to fully discharge and then charge it again and see if the problem returns." from here. First instinct is, bad battery. Hope this helps, good luck.’’
Just remove the battery and connect the adaptor with machine then turn ON the machine …… CAUTION power fluctuation may harm your machine recommend to change battery as soon as possible..
This can happen if the battery is not OK anymore. But it can also happen when the battery/computer was overheated for a short time. In that case you can reset this without changing battery or opening your computer, by what I know of it resetting your cmos: Disconnect the power cablePress the on/off button and keep it pressed for at least 30 seconds *
