After battery replacement, apps in the third column (from the left) don’t work and some keyboard letters don’t work. If I move apps around from third to other columns they work fine. Any suggestions? Could this just be a bad connection somewhere? Thanks

This is a screen issue.iPhone 5s Screen Replacement iPhone 5s Screen

Hello, I have also had this issue. It is a bad connection or it might be a damaged connection. Sometimes if you force the connectors from the ribbon to the iPhone frame you can damage them, and if that is the case you will require a whole new replacement. Hopefully it’s just a lose connection, best of luck.

As William said, it could and hopefully is just a bad connection. I’m guessing you took the screen off to do the repair. Another thing I can think of is that you put extra stain on the ribbon cables when you where taking the screen off. On the 5 line, it seems like you can’t open the screen up at a 90 degree angle like you can on the 6 line. The cables just feel a little tighter. Check your connections first. Make sure the connector snaps in. You should feel it. If you where having trouble the first time it’s possible to think you have the connector lined up and then press it down with it misaligned. This can cause damaged to the pins. I would also try and blow on the connectors as sometimes dust or other parasitical’s can cause a bad connection.
