Does anyone happen to know the thickness of the thermal pads used on the mosfets around the cpu die and ssd; in the XPS 15 9570 . Will be doing a re-paste of cou and while doing the repaste I would be replacing them with higher quality ones. The attached link is a photo of an xps with the thermal pads circled: https://i.imgur.com/qe3DO9w.png
You can use the thermal grease that you can find online for CPU. It usually comes in a small syringe and holds enough for a large CPU. You do not have to apply a lot, most of it is squeezed out when you put the heat sink on the processor. Clean the old thermal grease off the heat sink and and CPU before applying new thermal grease.

I believe it’s 0.5mm. I compared the old one with a new one side by side. Do you know the thermal conductivity of these thermal pads?
