There is no sound output from the amplifier

Joshua Linton you do not give us much to work with here. I am assuming that you made sure that your speakers are working properly and that everything is connected properly. Also, your settings are right and that you checked your volume as well as source in. Use this trouble shooting guide Pioneer VSX-53 Trouble Shooting to see if you can isolate the problem.VSX-55TXi uses essentially the same trouble shooting as your VSX-53 Let us know what you find Update (04/05/2017) Just realized that you may need the rest of the manual as well. Here it is Pioneer VSX-53 SM

Hi @kumag , There is no troubleshooting guide in the service manual but the manual does have schematics and a parts list. This page has a block diagram of the receiver, so since there is no output one of the first things to check is if the protection relay is operated allowing the output audio to be connected through to the speakers or headphones. If it is not operated the receiver may be in protection mode but normally there show be a message to this effect in the display e.g. prot or similar. All you can do is start to test through the circuit working back from the speakers. Hopefully a start.
