Vizio E600i-B3 The picture can be seen, however, it is very dark on just the left half of the screen. The right half has a normal picture.

Rich sounds like a bad backlight. Check the inverter/powerboard for failed components like leaky or domed capacitors. Most likely this is a power board issue. Check this video to see how to check the voltages.
