Hey, So I am facing a weird problem with my I phone x, there is this half a cm thick horizontal block on top right corner of screen it shows up slightly faded when I turn my screen on and gets darker. ( I can also see some red grainy dots in the block while it gets darker). Also it is not fixed it happens for sometime and then goes away by itself this has happened i think for 5-6 times till now and now that block is probably jammed… This all started happening suddenly so I am not being able to trace what could be the reason. What should I do now

It sounds like the screen was damaged. It’s LCD damage and there is nothing you can do about it. You have two options, live with it or put a new screen on it. Sorry about the bad news. And I don’t know why but every iPhone X screen that I get that is damaged is has a green line or space on it. The reason could be anything. Part of the problem I see is people put the phones in their front or back pockets and it can cause the phone to bend or twist and it doesn’t take a lot of movement to damage the screen. I would recommend putting the phone in your shirt pocket, in a purse, on your belt and in a case. You don’t want to have it your front pocket and sit down and twist or bend it and you definitely don’t want to put in your back pocket and sit on it. I see so many iPhones with twisted and/or bent cases.

Technically it’s an OLED panel not LCD but I think you got your point across @barriphone Anyways avoid the cheaper LCD screen replacement for your phone. It was designed with the more efficient OLED panel and the display connectors inside the phone aren’t designed to handle the higher current LCD panels draw. I recommend using a soft OLED panel for best quality as that’s what apple uses. There’s also hard OLED at a more affordable price but the panel is more brittle.
