My husband went to buy me a bigger tv for my livingroom.I then put my old tv in my bedroom.I have a window unit that gets it freezing cold in there and now each morning I go to turn it on,there are stripes in the middle of tv,WHY?

Hi @rj3948 What is the model number of the TV in the bedroom? Cold contracts, heat expands. It sounds like there may be suspect screen connections on the cables that go from the tcon board (or the mainboard if not separate boards) to the screen. These tab connections on the screen are very fragile and sometimes they lift off completely and then you end up having permanent black vertical lines unless you manage to press them back down so that they make a good connection again and then find a way to make sure that they stay that way. It could also be the board connectors for these cables i.e. not a really secure connection for example.
