Can you please post the make and model number of the TV. It makes a difference in determining potential solutions. If the set has vertical LED strips to provide back light, it is possible that one of these strips is defective or the power to it is missing. Without the make and model, we can’t confirm this as a possibility. Update this as soon as you can and we will provide more details. Dan
