Hello all! :) Got a problem with my LGtv similar to this original post. The TV has really low brightness, it’s dim, nothing to do with the settings of the TV. I connected my computer to the TV to open a white background document, so I could check how the LEDs were working. This is what I got. Can anyone help me understand if it’s a Led strip problem or the power supply which can’t feed the LEDs properly? Appreciated :)
Hi Flavio, A power supply problem would affect the LEDs uniformly on at least half of the screen. What I see here is a LOT of LEDs that have failed; I’m surprised they’re lighting up at all with the number that have died. Hopefully some of our more experienced TV technicians can corroborate, but my personal opinion is you’re now in the market to replace the backlight LED strips.
