Ok so I have an amana washer and I never paid attention before but for some reason I did this time. As my washer fills with water the tub goes down about 4 to 5 inches. Is that normal? It works fine. It just falls as it fill with water! I am concerned and would like to know if there is something wrong with it or is it normal! Thanks Update (02/06/2020) The model number is Ntw4600yq1
Hi @mystic_6 , Wondering if there may be a problem with the suspension rods in the washer. Here’s a link to the parts of your washer. Click on the Basket and Tub parts diagram on the left side of the page and find part #14 (also #15 & #16 - no longer available) to see where they fit in the washer. You may be able to spot something amiss with the rods or their connections
