Hi there,So whenever I plug the car charger in my phone’s port, the sound on the phone speakers as well as the blue tooth speakers mutes completely. I cannot hear the navigation or an audio book for instance. The second I take the phone out of the car charger, the sound goes back to normal.I also have this problem when I try to insert a separate microphone in the port. The microphone is attached to a lightning port. I’ve tried to record on a voice recorder app as well as record videos, and the sound doesn’t record or play back at all. It completely mutes it.When I have the phone plugged into a wall charger, the sound is perfectly fine and not affected at all. When I spoke with Apple, they ran a diagnostics test and everything showed up fine with the phone. That led the technician to insinuate that the car was the problem and I should take it to the car dealership. But I’m having this issue with the microphone as well, which leads me to believe that the issue does lie with the phone. I also tried my mother’s phone in my car charger and the sound on the navigation was just fine when plugged into my car port.Since I already wasted an hour of my life with the apple technician who had no idea what the issue was, and before Apple sends me on a wild goose chase and possibly has me buy a new phone I cannot afford, can anyone advise with this issue? I greatly appreciate any assistance.Kind regards,Jenny

It sounds like your phone is connecting with the radio in your car or thinks it has. What happens when you receive a call?
