My Radionette (not the old brand, the new one) Menuet DAB + radio has a problem with the sound cutting out, or, sometimes, no sound at all when turning on. The display works fine, and you can connect to it via bluetooth (no sound though). If there’s no sound when you turn it on, it might help to adjust the volume with the wheel on the front, or by changing the station (but not always). If it’s playing and the sound cuts, there’s nothing to do as far as I can tell. It might get back to life by itself minutes or hours later. I havent’t tried to open it, since I haven’t done any soldering or anything resembling an electronics repair since i was 15, 30 years ago.
Could be anything from an intermittent open or short to a defective component, maybe caused by heat. Opening it up and signal tracing will be the only way to find it.
