I’m also experiencing the same issue, but for the last few weeks, the screen may work straight away sometimes, other times I may have to switch it on/off several times before it works.. But today the screen won’t work at all. It doesn’t seem to be the black light, the screen is completely blank menu etc doesn’t appear either. What could this be?
@sarah9984 could be an issue with the power board, the LED board, the T-con board or even the backlight array. You will need to give us your complete model number and information about your TV so we can at least try to narrow it down. From your brief description it does sound like a bad power board. So, you will need a multimeter to at least check it out. Unplug your set and remove the rear cover. Then take some good pictures of your boards and post those with your question.
