When I attach the rotating brush attachment, the brush will start but as soon as I put it down on a rug, it dies suddenly. There are no clogs in the hose and I have been cleaning the vacuum regularly. What can I do to fix it?

This happened to me today. I don’t think there is a fix after it is clean. Dyson is sending me a new Vaccum and told me to throw mine out.
Go to the dyson website: I think it’s dyson.com. they have a chat box and they will walk you through your issue and if they can’t they will send you the part you need free of charge:)…I LOVE MY DYSON!!!!
I just bought the dc47 canister vacuum and every time I use it on my are rug it stops? It works fine on my hard wood but it won’t work at all on my area rugs.
Get a new head. Or get it repaired by Dyson. I did both and it’s been working fine for over a year.
My multi floor barrel Dyson vacuum power head is not spinning .. Can you tell me if there is a reset button or something I’m not pressing.. I have a similar issue and can see the connector between the bin and the tube is fairly loose which is probably not making the circuit required to drive the brush head. I will take mine apart later and determine if the continuity is good. Alternatively, I will replace the bin which will come with a new connector.
Dyson chat is the way to go. They are shipping us a new cleaner brush with no charge and registered our product for us to ensure the warranty.
