The power button isnt working on my Casio WK 3000 Electric Piano. Can I wire it up directly to the same place that the battery pack (6 D Cell) is soldered to the board? The unit specifies 12 Volt AC/DC Negative tip. However, for the past 10 years I’ve been using a 9 volt AC/DC Adapter which has worked fine. Thanking you in advance. Larry
If you wired it up to the same contact points as the battery, all you’d be doing is causing a short between + and -, which is always bad for batteries. Try wiring a new button to the same points as the old one. Also check the bottom of the board where the button’s soldered, and look for any damaged components or traces. Good luck!
