The Power Button Light Is On And Wont Turn Off Jbl Charge 2 Plus

The “power button” light is on, and wont turn off. No other buttons work or respond. When phone is connected to the JBL Charge 2+ it appears to charge the phone. Thanks for any advice if anyone has had similar problem. Update (06/30/2018) thanks to Jayson Van Camp removing/unplugging the battery and then re-attaching worked for me.
