the phone was dropped in water - will it ever work again?
Try! Open it clean the PCB with alcohol and preheat it with a hairdryer. Check everywhere for water. Assemble it after 24 hours. If you are lucky… :) Regards.
Dropped a Samsung Galaxy in a sink of water. Amazingly, the ‘phone still worked afterwards … but it wouldn’t charge. Took the back off, removed the Sim card, unscrewed and took off the cover of the charge connector. Then put it on a hot radiator for a day. It now works a treat. Key is … not to drop it in water (obviously!), but if you do, get it out as fast as possible (it’s surprisingly well sealed so water doesn’t get in that fast), open up as much as reasonable, wipe off any visible water and try to evaporate off the rest.
If your Nokia Lumia phone has been dropped into the water,a good tip is to cover it with rice for at least one day.The rice will absorb the remaining water and the phone will function again.I had that problem and this tip worked.
