Hello, I tried in several ways to repair this iphone 4s. I cannot charge it, I tried to connect it to several sockets, with several cables, to the PC, but nothing shows up on the phone and it doesn’t charge. The only thing that happens is when the phone is off, if I connect the cable (to PC or wall socket), it turns on. Also, if I keep it off I can charge it. So I guess it somehow still recognizes it. I already replaced battery, docking connector twice (one from ebay and three from aliexpress) and checked the two inductors (which are good).
Short-term solution: When you want to recharge (preferably on low battery, like 5%) connect the power cord and start the flashlight. Since the phone does not charge when it’s on, the flashlight will drain all battery. That will make the phone turn off… so it will start charging! Even when it has enough power, it will not turn on! So it will keep charging to 100%! The only drawback is that you cannot use the phone during charging.
