Chosen Solution
I changed the locking mechinism because the lid wouldnt lock and start a cycle. Once I changed the locking assembly I got it all put back together and tried to start doing laundry and now the lid just locked and is blinking a red light and won’t start a cycle. Any help on how I can fix this now????
The first thing to do is to unplug it and let it sit for 5 minutes. This will reset it and may fix the issue.

i have a whirlpool washing machine and my lid will not open it locked
Weii the lid is closed on my whirlpool the red button is blinking on and it blinking now green sentences is on and not doing anything until now its filling up with water but lid is not lock yet.
