I have several TI-30X iis calculators I use in my classroom and the LCD readouts are fading. Is there an easy fix or are they shot?

Your calculators might be having a similar issue to the TI-84 Plus calculators where the ribbon cable is degrading. If you have soldering experience, then you might want to take a look at this guide here: Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS Battery Replacement for instructions on how to take apart the calculator. Refer to this topic on Cemetech for instructions on how to fix a ribbon cable: https://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic

Sounds like the Contrast setting is lowering, how are the batteries also?
