Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of you can help me. So I have the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL and I have noticed over time that the hinges are loose to the point where like you can actually wobble it when its open. It doesn’t affect my gameplay but it be really nice if someone were to help me. I have looked every where online, but I find nothing. Thanks :)
Hi! If you’re 3DS XL hinges are only wobbling slightly (around 1mm and not more), this is normal. The Nintendo DSI had a probelm where the hinges were really tight, causing them to crack at some point. With the 3DS XL, Nintendo made the hinges a bit loose so that they would not crack. Assuming, that you’re hinges do not move more than 1mm, I hope this has given you some peace of mind.
