Chosen Solution
Hi guys, my controller doesn’t want to charge and even power on. But I discovered when I remove the ribbon of the touch panel, it worked both charging and power. Then if I put back again the Touch panel, it doesn’t work again. So I decide to put another touch panel to see if the touch panel is the problem. But still it doesn’t work. Very much appreciated for the help.
I recommend replacing your touch panel with a new one which can be bought from ifixit for 5 bucks here: DualShock 4 Controller Touch Pad (CUH-ZCT2) this should solve your problem if its the touchpad (sounds like a short in the touchpad).
