We have 2 Tvs one an LG and one a Samsung which we can watch simultaneously. We use the remote via our tablet, which our tech set up. The channels switch on both TVs simultaneously every few seconds. We had a hand held remote before that and it did the same thing. We have had both of the TVs in different rooms a few years so they are fairly new—-this just started a few months ago but it did start after our tech did some programming. What could he have done wrong? Update (11/23/2018) We are already at that point. What type of programming should he be looking to do? He is very experiencedd.
carolegillie this “The channels switch on both TVs simultaneously every few seconds.” combined with “it did start after our tech did some programming. “ is a pretty good indication that this is not a TV or remote issue but a programming issue. I would suggest that you start by speaking with the tech who did the programming. If you can let us know what make and model remote this is we may find a way to disable the program.
suggestions: Maybe the TV’s are in some sort of demo mode used for store displays, check the menus. Find and block the IR receiver on the TV to ensure it is not getting signals. Could some device be controlling the TV’s using HDMI? Cable boxes, receivers, and game consoles are often capable of controlling other HDMI devices.
