My macbook air 2013 model A1466 was spilled with tomato juice and won’t turn on. After 6 months rest, it could be turned on but the battery shows not detected (hardware test: battery not detected, audio problem). It works with power adapter is connected. The trackpad and keyboard doesn’t work so I have to connect with wireless keyboard and mouse. others: the power button and option key works to turn on the computer and select the operating systemSTRANGE: when I use the hardware test, the trackpad works, but unfortunately keyboard without responsethe buttery voltage is right so it seems the battery itself is good I appreciate it if anyone could give me a clue how to fix this, many thanks! Henry

Replace the keyboard or uppercase: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-US-Keyboard-… Please try to excuse Louis Rossmans’ New York City mouth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PyhbiwU… MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Upper Case Replacement Drink Apple juice, not tomato juice ;-)

First off, its a miracle it works. Take everything out and clean everything with 99% isopropyl alcohol using a very soft toothbrush to do so. DO NOT PUSH HARD AT ALL!! After cleaning, leave everything out to dry for a day or so and then put it back together. Also if you see corrosion concentrate more in that area but dont push hard. Any MacBook that is exposed to liquid requires a thorough inspection, even a small amount of corrosion untreated can cause a system failure further down the road. Battery detection issues are almost always an issue with data lines or SMC, both require advanced board level diagnostics. Coconut Battery will not give you ANY additional insight if the battery is not detected. A replacement logic board is affordable but be sure to diagnose ALL issues, for example if you need a keyboard battery and a logic board you will be looking at close to $500.00, for that amount you can have it professionally repaired with a warranty. Inspect Keyboard and Track Pad for ANY corrosion or sticky residue – If found a keyboard or track pad replacement is recommended. A non functional keyboard can be as simple as cleaning any corrosion or a full keyboard replacement.

this will give you an idea on replacing the keyboard only, much better value than replacing the entire uppercase. Inspect Main LogicBord for any sign of liquid exposure. This should be done with a high powered stereo microscope, each SMD component should be checked for any signs of damage. If damage is found logic board should be cleaned ultrasonically and damaged SMD components replaced.
