Im in the middle of a 6 plus screen repair, I’m attempting to replace just the glass only and lucky enough I’ve been able to remove the glass without any damage to the screen. Well I’m not sure yet, I’m trying to test the lcd, I’ve connected both connectors from the lcd to the logic board and pressing the power button is doing nothing. I’m thinking my battery may be dead, I’m just wondering if its safe to charge it without display connected…?
Yes it’s safe to charge. Don’t connect the LCD while its charging though. An easier way to test if it’s the battery would be to plug the LCD cable in and then plug in power. If it’s working it’ll turn on.
