TCL 55S401 screen flashes logo briefly, then black screen. Can here sound, but no images. Did the flashlight test, but nothing is showing. I have power cycled, factory reset, and done the remote (home x5, up x1, rewind x2, fast forward x2) with no results.
Clint Bowles just based on this “Can here sound, but no images”,”Did the flashlight test, but nothing is showing” my first suspect is the T-con board, main board after that the power board. Go ahead and measure the voltages on the backlight LED connection and tell us what value you get. Just to make sure that your power board is doing what it is supposed to do. Double check this “Did the flashlight test, but nothing is showing”, since TCL has issues with poor backlight arrays. But you will definitely have to see something with the “flashlight test”, if you don’t it’s unlikely for it to be the backlight.
