Hi, I have a switch here I am currently repairing and I’ve traced a short down to the TC94B15WBG component. I removed it and noticed a bridge between two solder balls so removed and reapplied the chip but short is still present so I am going to replace the chip but I am wondering if anyone has any experience replacing these and if they’re interchangeable as I have noticed the writing on the chip “EINL O” is different on different boards despite them being the same revision of board. Here is an image of where the chip is located:
Also don’t have a stencil so has anyone tried reballing by hand? Thanks.
Is the capacitor right under the Pi3 usb chip shorted to ground? If yes have you tried removing the chip to see if the short is still present?
