Chosen Solution Hey, i have a imac and an old macbook that i would like to upgrade. But i’m thinking to change the logic board and get it as a new macbook or a macbook pro 13,3. Is that possible? Is it worth it to pimp it a little bit, if it’s not worth to pimp it to a brand new? You won’t be able to get far changing the logic board, if you have a core duo/core 2 duo, you may be able to upgrade to santa rosa or penryn, which would increase the max ram by 1 gb, but it’s not really worth it, I’d just max out the ram and hdd....

Chosen Solution Have an Emerson model lf501em5f . The sound cuts out every couple minutes after we turn it on. Have tried doing a reset on the TV and different devices and ports, still cuts out every few minutes. Suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks That might be audio related circuit does not get enough power due to capacitor failure (used to store charge) so it’s capacitance decreases(then charges will be stored for few minutes/) but on another side maybe audio ic is multifunction....

Chosen Solution I keep feet in stock for replacements but have no guidelines to know which ones are used on different machines. There are the older ones with a large center portion, newer ones with a smaller center. Both of these have a single pins. But I also have some with two centering pins. Does anyone know where I can find a definitive guide on which feet to use and do the newer machines use different feet?...

Update (08/17/2016) This is the phone in question Well, I’ll tell you I’m no genius at this, (can’t access picture) definitely not a professional, but normally if you want to change the language you can go into the settings (the gray icon with the gears) and go to the seventh group of options in “General” (the gray gear in settings) and the last one should be language and going into the first option should be the device’s language I believe....

Chosen Solution I have an old Murray rider that was given to me by a friend the model number is283707. This is the model number from the small plate on the engine. I try to start it and it does not start, all I hear is a zinging noise. Is this the starter or solenoid? A “zinging noise” is probably the starter gear not quite meshing with the flywheel’s ring gear....

Then hold down the on/off button for 30 seconds & while STILL HOLDING DOWN the POWER BUTTON, SLOWLY insert the power cable. Continue to hold down the power button for up to 30 seconds, AND VOILA, PRESTO, it was fixed WITHOUT taking the Tablet apart, WITHOUT spending a dime or even a penny!...

Chosen Solution It does not acknowledge the touch at all the way down along the edge @cjv6 any dead areas are related to a failed digitizer circuit. You will have to replace it to repair your tablet. Use this guide to work on your tablet. Also a slightly different tablet, this video should help.

Chosen Solution Hi, Seems there is some issue with Processor fan. There was so much noise all of the sudden from processor fan. And then it got stopped now. But the Tablet gets over heated at the back. Please suggest some option to fix it. You will need to get a new replacement fan similar to (FRU)5F10P92392. I have found one here.

This often is due to the housing being bent or corners having dents, but also when the frame is perfect or near perfect the screens tends to be somewhat loose on one or both sides. Particularly on the upper left side by the mute button....

Chosen Solution Before flooding condition. Engine would only idle when giving gas would stall. Removed carb and cleaned reinstalled carb now engine runs will Rev up but keeps flooding out, getting to much fuel now. Would like to see a diagram of carb. Apart You have a bad needle & seat (let’s gas in stops gas) or a bad diaphragm get a rebuild kit for it and you should be good to go

Chosen Solution The tri-wing screws that connect the battery are difficult to remove even with the correct screwdriver. Are there any other screws that I could buy, either torx or philips, to replace them? How can I look up the appropriate screw type? They’re not difficult to remove I repair macs as a side business and the correct tip from ifixit grips these screws without movement. You need to use the correct Y0 driver which is standard in the ifixit mako kit not a cheap three headed philips driver that comes in all the chinese battery kits....
