You can purchase replacement screens from the iFixit store and use an iFixit guide to install it. Chosen Solution While replacing the broken display, the Force Touch sensor was cut off. So I bought a Force Touch sensor and replaced it. The Force Touch is not working even though it has been replaced correctly. Is the product a problem? Or do I need to do additional methods? Please ensure that all of the display ribbon cables are properly seated. When I replaced the screen and force touch sensor gasket on the series three I had the same issue....

Hi Chris, I had a unresponsive zeppelin and it said unfinished firmware update when connected to the laptop. I disassembled it and replaced three defective capacitors (the tops bulged). Capacitors are easily found on the internet or local electronics shop. follow one of the guides here. Be careful when (de)soldering....
Chosen Solution I bought a replacement battery from iFixit for my early 2014 Macbook Air. The guide on iFixit website says to leave the “thin plastic film” that comes on the battery on it. But, the picture on the iFixit website looks different from the thin plastic film on the replacement battery I received. The Apple OEM battery I removed did not have any such film on the battery. So, how do I know if I actually should, or shouldn’t, keep this thin plastic film on the battery after the install?...

In what I now realise was a mistake, I did the swap with the phone on and the home button that came with the new LCD assembly. Chosen Solution My Acer E3-111 Track pad stopped working after changing the OS from Windows 8 to Windows 10 Every other thing seems to be working fine but the track pad stopped working. What do I do please Check in the BIOS for a setting for trackpad / I2C. Switching that setting to the other option usually fixes it. Otherwise you may need to get the trackpad drivers install via either Windows Update or through the manufacturers website driver support page for the model of your laptop....

I’m trying to get it operational for my son, but, unfortunately, I’m missing some key components. Chosen Solution As soon as I plug in my tv it flashes on and off until I unplug it. I cant use any menus or buttons or anything. It just flashes continuously. No bulges or heat damage. Chosen Solution its broken in 2, and the place where the screw goes is broken i had to open it but the screw was so stripped it was beyond un screwing anyone willing to sell / give for free a nerf deploy battery tray cover? try some Gorilla Glue brand epoxy. It’s two part and it is at least as strong as that plastic. Lightly sand the parts where you’ll glue them, and make sure to spread a little onto plastic past the break for extra strength....

But now, after unlocking it the screen looks ok, but after a few second, vertical lines show up until the display goes dark completely. The strange thing is that I turn it off and on again and the screen is perfect, but after a few second it goes dark again. When I move around the brightness slider, the darkening effect takes longer to set… at minimum brightness, the screen does not god dark and just a few vertical lines how up....

So I attempt to open it up using my 1.5 mm screwdriver that I had previously used to open my Joycons which had suffered from drift.
