Rather than buy a whole backlight strip I would like to get the right led and reflow that sucker back on. I’m very comfortable doing reflow of SMDs. How do I determine what LED I should order? It’s a 3528 form but that’s all I know about it. No markings on the led or the strips as to which LED I should use....

Toshiba is another one of those companies that suppresses any attempt to publicize any kind of repair information. Chosen Solution When I turn on the tablet there’s no display, but there is a start up sound. Which made me think that the display is broken. So I opened my tablet and tried reconnecting the cables and replacing the screen with new one. The result is still the same. Chosen Solution I just got this iron and I do not know where to pour the water. The reservoir for this iron is located at the very front of the iron. Look for the compartment that opens by the pointed side of the iron. Be sure to fill the reservoir with the proper amount of water.

Disassembling it will ruin the warranty. I just bricked mine by spilling a glass of water beside it. Kinda works after intervention (it has a non-removable battery) but not well enough for Blackberry to consider it repairable (not cost effective so buy a new one)....

It working only with power Hi, If your phone only works when the charger is connected, then the battery needs replacing. Even rechargeable batteries have a lifespan. Chosen Solution I’ve owned one for two years and never used it. I’ve charged it for four straight days and when I try the tire inflater the compressor doesn’t turn on. Chosen Solution The top half of the screen is greyed out starting at the center of the screen and progressively darker as it goes up. I hooked up an external monitor and it works fine. When first turned on the top of the screen flashes on for a second. I could also use a teardown of this model and where I can get parts for it. The only screen replacement I’ve found costs $699 and I don’t know if this would fix the problem....
Chosen Solution Touch screen has area where It doesn’t work so I disconnect and reconnect more times the two flat ribbon cables which link touch screen to board but nothing! Suggestions please? @rickyleroy anytime you have part of a touchscreen that is not working, you most likely have a failed digitizer. Replacing it will fix your issue.
