Chosen Solution The 3.5 mm jack receptor is gone. Can I repair it? It has a blue tooth connector but it must also use the 3.5mm jack that is missing. @jrosendahl yes it is but the real issue here will be to find a replacement. In the past I just removed the jack and replaced it with a complete 4ft cable. Not as convenient as unplugging it but it kept the headphones working....
Chosen Solution The LCD screen went black, although the camera still turns on and makes photos (i’ve checked the memory card), but since the screen doesn’t turn on, none of the menu/info/set functions are available… @rasma in a darkened room and with your camera on shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen see if you can make out your menu etc. This could be a backlight error. If that does not show anything it is possible that your LCD screen has failed....
Chosen Solution So I have a switch lite that i completely dissasembled for a housing replacement and I found out that theres two types of thermal stuff inside (thermal putty? and regular thermal paste). I have MX-2 thermal paste but im not sure if i can replace the pink stuff with it. Is is possible? Yes that should work fine make sure you clean the old thermal paste off and reapply....

Chosen Solution After I had a technician replace my cracked iPhone 5S screen with a new one from iFixit, I found that the new one’s digitizer/touch panel was non responsive on a thin band a quarter of the way down from the top of the display. I can still use the phone, but the fault can be annoying, specially when I scroll, as it causes the page to jump; if the item is right beneath the “dumb” band, I can’t select it....

I may be missing a tiny piece of plastic so I don’t think I can put it back together as it was. But can I still use it somehow? Don’t care how ugly it looks. Chosen Solution I dropped my MacBook Pro 11,5 (Retina 15 in, Mid 2015) and now it has mostly vertical lines in the upper LH side. The monitor glass doesn’t appear to be cracked (by running my fingernail across it) but there’s definitely a diagonal line where the upper LH side is unreadable, and the lower RH side normal. If I twist the screen, I can partially read what is in the upper LH side....
Chosen Solution Just installed my screen replacement and when I power on device to check it there are red vertical lines one the screen. I triple checked the lcd cable and it is properly attached. What could it be. First disconnect the battery then check the connections for any damaged pins, use a magnifying glass. If the connection is fine clean the connectors with a qtip and alcohol and a soft brush....

Chosen Solution Some time ago my cat landed on my Acer and cracked the outer glass from top to bottom. The unit still works ok and the crack is so tight it cannot be felt. Is it possible just to replace the outer glass or do other components near to be changed as well.? It is best to replace the full screen. Yes technically you can replace just the glass but the glue is a huge pain to remove and the cost of tools and chemicals tend to end up being about the same as a screen with glass and digitizer....
