From what you are describing here it sounds like the laptop has a BIOS password on it. The method to removing these passwords varies depending on the make and model of the laptop, sometimes you can pull all batteries and power sources (including CMOS) for about 15 minutes and that does it....

Chosen Solution Are the any replacement speakers available for repair (Soundlink Color 1) If you can safely disassemble this item and it is no longer covered under warranty you can easily replace the speaker or speakers that are not working. Just find one that is similar in size and specs example ohms watts etc and either glue or screw it in place of defective one. Chosen Solution I’m using it with a 24” iMac EMC 2134 Why does it stop functioning when the cell voltage drops to 1.363 volts for each cell? This is only a 10% terminal voltage drop. This seems a little wasteful. Might be also because cell current isn’t high enough to power a keyboard. Try alkaline batteries, if that works, then that was the issue.
