Sorry about English. In my experience, the Touch ID will work for a period of time, then decide not to. I generally remedy this by going into Settings>Touch ID & Passcode>Fingerprints sections. Delete your old fingerprints and make new ones.

Open it back up and check your cable connections again, chance are that a fan connection is loose, which will give you a blinking red light due to a the console protecting the board from lack of ventilation.

In a darkened room and the TV turned on to a channel that has sound, shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen. If you can make out shapes or silhouettes it is most likely your backlight strips that have failed.
