Chosen Solution I have a Samsung UN55HU9000FXZA and when its turned on the white light turns on and then the red light starts to blink a few times and it turns off. This with a black screen. All the boards look good. I did notice that when it was working a few seconds after it was on the image blinked. Can you help. Thanks. I have been fixing it recently by gently using a hair dryer to blow warm air near the top of the platen glass. I think this is a moisture/condensation problem with the CIS unit....

For aesthetic purposes only, it’s up to you if you want to attempt a repair. If I were you I may be tempted to plug the area that is crumbling with some tac and then just take care when removing or inserting cartridge....
