I don’t know the phone and it is not shown in the user manual but maybe check what the USB settings are set for in Developer Options > USB Debugging in the Settings menu of the phone. Also try using the phone in safe mode and check it it works OK or not if neither of the above solves the problem....

Lines on the display are due to a TAB failure most of the time, especially on machines with a easily serviced bare display. As such, you’re going to need to learn to live with it (if the parts cost too much), buy a donor with a good screen from the same model year, or buy a new display assembly for the laptop....
