Chosen Solution Hi, I bought a battery replacement from Ifixit for mid 2012 MacBook Pro retina.. All was going well until I followed the battery calibration process and let the power drain out until the machine shut down. After I plugged the power cord back in, the machine makes a kind of quiet rhythmic breathing noise but will not restart. The breathing noise sounds sort of like a fan starting to whir at startup but after a Half second then it slows and attempts to start again....

Chosen Solution Since a few weeks I have noticed this weird screen pixelation when in a dark environment. Any answer as to what this might be? I tried getting it for repairs but apparently apple thinks there is nothing wrong with it? Whats my best bet? see below, this is near the bottom side Get Apple to look at it again, or have them check their eyesight.

Chosen Solution what is the 5pin jp14 connector on motherboard for? can i connect something useful there? Just a guess. I would say a standard VGA video connector. Enjoy the new toy. JP14 is the connector that SHOULD have a jumper on it. If you place it on pins 2-3 then it should be in normal mode. If you place the jumper on pins 1-2 then this clears the CMOS(Real Time Clock)....

Chosen Solution I dropped my iPhone 6s on asphalt a few weeks ago and the screen cracked. Mostly at the top of the phone out of the area where the LCD is, but there are a few long cracks that run down the entire screen. I unplug everything and reattach it and it’s works for a minute again. What is going on? Are there any signs of corrosion? It sounds more like it could be a board problem.
