Chosen Solution I have hp model 17 ca-2020nr Generally speaking, most laptops made within the last 5-8 years support at least 16GB. The one common exception always tends to be super cheap (read: junk) budget laptops with one RAM slot/soldered RAM and small NVMe drives on midrange (but nicer than the HP Stream). Cheapo junk like the HP Stream is always eMMC/soldered RAM. Mid spec oddballs may have partially soldered RAM not found on high end machines, usually indicated by odd max memory limits like 12GB (4GB board/8GB SODIMM), but even these can come close to 32GB with a 16GB module, but top out at 20GB of RAM (4GB board/16GB SODIMM) This one has 2 SODIMM slots and the HP service manual shows 2 slots, so it supports 16GB comfortably....

Chosen Solution I cleaned off all the old adhesive with isopropyl alcohol before installing my iFixit replacement battery, but 3 weeks later all the adhesive strips had detached and I could feel the battery was loose inside my MacBook Pro. I opened the computer and confirmed it. I pressed them all back down and reattached the back cover. What could cause the adhesive strips to fail? Has anyone else experienced this issue?...

Chosen Solution Hi, I own a small repair shop in Amsterdam and recently I came across several iphone 6 with the following issue: Customer dropped the phone the screen is broken and in some cases not but it freezes and becomes unresponsive after short while after start. It might be completely operational for a few minute at some point it just gets stuck. The phone doesnt get hot or anything. My assumption is that something gets damaged on the logic board because of the shatter damage from the fall but I didn’t find a way to test it....

Suddenly i press the power on button, blue led light flashing, its opening (while i press the button), but when i release the power button the speaker shut down. Chosen Solution From what I can see, it looks like you’ve got a lifted pad there where it says pwr. I’d suggest taking an exacto knife and carefully scraping the coating off the traces on each side then apply a tiny bit of fluid and wider your jumper wire right over the pad from one trace to the other. Hopefully that’s making sense. Following your red arrow you’ll see the missing gold pad....

Chosen Solution Hi, I cannot figure out why the usb ports and bluetooth mouse doesn’t work on normal boot (I cannot type my password to log in) but when I boot on recovery mode the usb keyboard and a usb mouse works just fine. Chosen Solution Managed to get all functions going after water damage using the usual treatment. All fine with the exception of a quick battery drain. Even with just battery attached to logic board a known good battery was dying. I assumed there was a short on the board somewhere so tried finding it with freeze spray. Nothing showed up with battery so used a dc power supply as Jessa from ipad rehab demonstrated in one of her brilliant videos....
Chosen Solution I have a Vizio P75-F1 with the infamous black screen of death. The TV powers up, shows the Vizio logo like normal. Then the picture goes black, but the backlight remains on. When doing a factory reset, (Hold Vol Down + Input for 10 sec, release Vol Down and continue to hold Input). The TV will reboot multiple times, but nothing changes. This has happened a few times since I got the TV, but always managed to snap out of it relatively quickly until now....
Chosen Solution Hello all, when I plug my Wacom Cintiq 22hd in it turns on with a blue LED (indicating a video signal when there is none). It should be an orange LED. I have no screen on the cintiq however, the computer recognizes it and the express buttons still function. Any thoughts? Also, I can’t power down the cintiq for some reason. @turtleman951 all of this sounds like a video board issue....
