Why do you need to replace the screen cable, that seems like an odd repair, did it break from use or what? And have you searched ebay? You might be able to find a broken laptop same as yours for very cheap which you can use for the cable and possibly other upgrades from that laptop....

Chosen Solution The blue plastic lock lever broke and will no longer hold a battery in place. Where can I get the battery lock lever repaired. @eyekool,Ray, Any good local/nearby camera repair shop can repair this lock lever and may have the part in stock or you could try doing a search for replacement part or contact Sony at link below to see if part available. Chosen Solution To get the pictures onto my desktop I remove the card, plug it into my SD slot on the computer. The folder that opens has thumbnail files next to every picture. I have to click every individual file to delete it as they are all in numerical order. Or, select each picture and drag it into another folder to separate them from the thumbnails. Most infuriating. Chosen Solution In order to avoid the sound from the optical drive on startup, I decided to just unplug the optical drive internally. However, I just left the wire fully unplugged but still hovering over its port. Could this cause any problems? I don’t think the back of the case is applying any pressure on connector but I’m not really sure. Maybe there is a better way to solve this problem?...

Now when I turn it on sometimes shows the screen that says “Hello Press home to open” in different languages and some times it shows another screen with the iTunes logo that says something like “Use iTunes to restore”.
