Chosen Solution Accidentally snapped the ribbon cable shown in picture (top of photo, excuse photo quality) whilst replacing screen. Part details? thanks! That’s the ribbon cable that connects the home button/thumbprint scanner to the top of the logic board. You can buy another LCD backplate with the cable or you could just buy the cable and replace it on the plate itself.

Chosen Solution So I bought a PSP 3000 from Japan and I am trying to get the front panel off. 5/7 screws are standard phillip 000. The other 2 are some other type. Photo isn’t clear but I can see 6 vertices that form a star shape. The screw size is very small. A lot smaller than phillip 000. Even my flathead 1.5 won’t fit. Chosen Solution I have same symptoms with my 27 cinema display. Confirmed there is image from my MBPro but no backlight. Has been intermittent for the past year or so and had to unplug and replug a few times whenever I disconnected my MBPro for travel to get it working again. But over past two weeks haven’t gotten it to light up. Took to Apple Store where they replaced the logic board which solved this issue for them but when testing it before leaving the store we could never get it to come back on again… they didn’t know about the image being visible from MBPro as I just discovered this now....

It looks like a spring-driven, mechanical timer. If that’s the case, you’ll probably just need to get a new timer. If you’re pretty handy, it is not difficult to replace. Chosen Solution I’m not sure what it is called but the ‘anchor’ plastic piece on the top of the headset that allows the top head-strap to loop around it broke off on my headset. Anyone know how to fix/replace this? You would need what is referred to as “Middle Shell” (image should be attached) on eBay though would suggest seeing if you can find the Middle shell with headstrap attached for easier install, that free floating screw on left side is a pain to handle....
