Chosen Solution The USB drive in the Surface Pro 3 laptop is functioning properly. So as the WD Elements portable as I checked from my Window desktop pc, all the files are there. Only the laptop fails to detect the WD Elements. You’ll need to check power draw of your drive and what the Surface laptop is offering up. To do this you’ll need this great little tool! Newer systems use different interface standards. It’s just best to either get your system working or get a new system. The best thing here is to just take your current drive out if your system is no longer working and use either a case or adapter cable to convert the drives SATA port to a USB-A or USB-C connection so you can connect it to your new system (new or used)....

Chosen Solution Top lid will not lock just keeps clicking ericabunn until we know your exact model my best generic answer would be that this is caused by a failed lid lock mechanism. Check this video and see if it at least comes close to your washer.
