Chosen Solution Cannot turn off phone Did you hold down the power and home button at the same time? That should power it off. May need to go into DFU mode and connect to iTunes to un-brick it. Let me know if you need help with that. Apple released ios 9.0.1 that fixes this problem. Put your phone in restore mode (not DFU) and press update.
