If everything else still works, then you can simply replace the display instead of getting a new tablet. Hopefully that is the only issue. Best of luck! Chosen Solution While reassembling my iBook G3 14”, the 800MHz model, I couldn’t lock the keyboard onto the chassis with that little screw in the top middle of the keyboard (between the F5 and F6 keys). It was actually getting very stripped, despite the fact that I always used the right kind of screwdriver to lock/unlock the keyboard ever since I got the iBook a few moths ago used. In the end, trying to fix up this little issue, the little plastic screw got pushed towards the screen and got stuck under the plastic of the keyboard which was holding the screw in place....

The pads are 2mm thick and you may have to cut your own. You can get some 20mmx20mmx2mm from places like this and many others.
Chosen Solution For the past few years, I have been experiencing thermal shutdowns with my Macbook. I didn’t use it for a while, but got around changing the battery and heat sink. After replacing the heat sink, the temperatures have gone down with a few degrees Celsius, but easily climb to 90+ degrees with just Chrome open. For my computer to be usable, I have to run it with Macs Fan Control at 100% fan speed, otherwise the thing just shuts down....
