Chosen Solution There is a screen that allows you to calibrate the display. There are target points in each of the four corners. I went to use them and the 2 on the right of the screen are now off screen, in the body of the camera. Because the calibration is so off. I can’t enter text or use the display properly. I was thinking if there is a way to reset to factory defaults that would probably do it....

Hello Catherine, Unfortunately once the inside laminate begins to separate from the outside fabric it no longer is waterproof and cannot be repaired. How old are your pants? Oftentimes washing and drying them regularly can help delay the inevitable delamination, but cannot stop it entirely as all laminated fabrics have a shelf life....
Chosen Solution So i’ve experienced something new today and i can’t say it’s a nice experience so far. A customer gave me their phone for a screen and back cover replacement. It was turned off on delivery. I turned it back on to do a pre-check of everything before in started the repair. Everything looks fine expect for the home button. When i pressed it there was no vibration feedback or sign of something happening....
Chosen Solution I have replaced new service pack screen with water damaged Samsung Galaxy A90 5G phone. I washed with isopropyl alcohol and checked that all is good. But new screen is showing display and receiving calls but touch is not working. Any idea what could be wrong? I changed the charging port board and it is fixed and working perfectly.
Chosen Solution So I recently replaced my screen and digitiser in what felt like a smooth replacement with no hiccups. I turned the phone on and everything was working as normal. The next day I was using it for a while when all of the sudden the screen stopped recognising my touches and what began what I can only describe as “jumping around”, like phantom touches were being made in different areas of the screen and if I were to scroll up an app like Facebook of Safari, as soon as release my touch it would scroll back to where I started....

I bought it secondhand from a high school who had Apple-certified technicians working on site, so it was well cared for. They replace their laptop fleet every 3-4 years so when I bought it in 2013 it already had some use on it. It’s rather old today, as can be seen (and heard) in the louder clicking of the hard drive, the cracking plastic on the hinges, louder fan and “Replace Soon” battery status....

Get into the BIOS and reset the values to default. The real time clock battery may need replacing if the BIOS does not retain it’s settings.

Even if you could find the part, which will take months, the trackpad on MBPrs is mounted between the top case and some seriously glued on batteries. The probability of damaging the battery in the procedure coupled with the likely change in dimension of the force touch trackpad make this inadvisable to even attempt....
Chosen Solution a few colored lines popped up on the left side of the tv almost a year after getting it. Then months later in the middle of watching a show my tv turned in a screen full of colorful thin lines. A few days after that it went from thin colorful lines to also black bars. I’ve took the back off of the tv and unplugged and plugged the cables and ribbons in the tcon board but nothing changed....

Chosen Solution I updated my Satellite C655D-S5303 laptop to Windows 10. Because it is an old, discontinued model, the CD-Rom driver does not update but when Windows does the updates and it stops working. I can use system restore to go back to dates before the update was done and get it working, but that only lasts until the next update and Microsoft has fixed it so we can’t prevent the updates now....
Chosen Solution There are 1/4” bars across the top of the display It sounds unrelated to the battery change and most likely due to the LCD Flex cables either damaged or not seated correctly. I would unplug the battery, disconnect the LCD and clean out the FPC Connectors with a soft brush like toothbrush and 95% or greater Iso Alcohol and reseat them. Make sure you are putting the correct screws back in their holes assembling, mismatching them can cause long screw damage to the logic board....
